GospelMT 24:42-51
“Stay awake!
For you do not know on which day your Lord will come.
Be sure of this: if the master of the house
had known the hour of night when the thief was coming,
he would have stayed awake
and not let his house be broken into.
So too, you also must be prepared,
for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.
we can look on Jesus words in 3 diffrent ways:
1 His coming on the end of our live
2 His coming in others in our daily life
3 as the Thief who comes – we can think about temptations that most come by surprise, most often we are not ready to fight against them.
so we need to continue pray for grace of being awake, watchful, keep eye on what happens around us- is it Jesus who comes to me in the person that I don’t like to much or temptation that waits for my weak moment to attack me… whatever happens we need God’s help to stay awake and discern properly what to do, how continue to love and fight against evil

Edwin Markham’s poem “Outwitted” very well describes what we need to do:
He drew a circle that shut me out
Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout
But Love and I had the wit to win
We drew a circle that took him in.
Are my circle inclusive or exclusive? I s there someone I should be including, but because he or she has excluded me, I’m shutting them out?
Very well said. I pray that each of us can face our temptations and turn them into something positive.
