I don’t think I can fallow God in his zeal for lost sheep

If I would have only one or two sheep than yes, you would see me searching for lost one.

But to live 99 without help, protection, at the desert? No… I’m taking care of 99..

Its simple. Its logical.

This story is more about God than us.

God can do it.

If you try to be somebody messiah, only help, only hope, only rescue, rock, consolation etc, than you will be in trouble. I have been there few times.

Somebody needed only me.

I was the only one who could help…

Its illusion. In such situation I need even more ask others to help me with that person.

Back to the Story:

Shepard is as symbol of Jesus.

Long time ago whole universe was adoring God. There was one flock.

Then Adam and Eve had this brilliant idea to eat some forbidden fruit.

Since than we are the one lost sheep that gets constantly lost.

And so God lives everything – 99 sheep- heaven and comes to find us, lost sheep.

He makes it. The sheep carried on the shoulder of Jesus is image of our sins carried on his shoulder through cross.

He made it for us.

 

But there is another aspect of that story.

..one of many there : )

its very easy for us to look for what is not best for us.

Something good, decent, but not best.

There is need to ask Holy Spirit to help me see what is truly lost in my life.

And like lost sheep, if something is lost, it’s gone.

It doesn’t scream, doesn’t cry, doesn’t stink any more, doesn’t bother any more..

I know it’s gone. So it’s easy get use to it.. and keep living live, while loosing what is important or even crucial

It can be lost priorities in my life

Job over family, my hobbies over my family, time with kids,

We can lose love towards spouse by not giving it enough attention..

Lost friendship, forgotten dreams, desires, passions,

goals that were at some point very important, but I gave up on them too quickly,

It can be God. He is very popular ‘item’ we loose. It’s very convenient too..

 

Go and pray. Beg Holy Spirit to help you see what did you lose.

And keep in mind that if you decide to go and find it again, it will be difficult journey.
Like in real searching for lost sheep.

But it is worth of that pain, tears, struggles.

Only with Gods help its possible. So I pray that you may do it too.

Go and search for what is lost in your life.

Tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to Jesus,
but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying,
“This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
So to them he addressed this parable.
“What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them
would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert
and go after the lost one until he finds it?
And when he does find it,
he sets it on his shoulders with great joy
and, upon his arrival home,
he calls together his friends and neighbors and says to them,
‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’
I tell you, in just the same way
there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents
than over ninety-nine righteous people
who have no need of repentance.

“Or what woman having ten coins and losing one
would not light a lamp and sweep the house,
searching carefully until she finds it?
And when she does find it,
she calls together her friends and neighbors
and says to them,
‘Rejoice with me because I have found the coin that I lost.’
In just the same way, I tell you,
there will be rejoicing among the angels of God
over one sinner who repents.”
